My colleagues and I are delighted therefore to launch <a href=\"https:\/\/irsg.bcs.org\/siawards.php\">this year\u2019s Search Industry Awards<\/a>, celebrating the best search innovations of 2017. Presented by the <a href=\"https:\/\/irsg.bcs.org\/\">Information Retrieval Specialist Group <\/a>of the BCS, these awards recognize people, projects, and companies that have excelled in the design of search and information retrieval products and services.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you know of any companies, projects, or products that deserve recognition, let us know by submitting a recommendation. Alternatively, if you\u2019re involved with something special yourself, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSco69XIiuJ6X5Y-_m5oWKEorTtIlZjZrEE5OTz8DP3bGeEMHg\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">submit an application <\/a>today.<\/p>\n<h2>Categories<\/h2>\n<p>This year we are offering three awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best search project<\/li>\n<li>Most promising start up<\/li>\n<li>Best paper \/ presentation (at Search Solutions 2017)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The third award is open only to presenters at <a href=\"https:\/\/irsg.bcs.org\/SearchSolutions\/2016\/sse2016.php\">Search Solutions<\/a>, and will be judged on the day. For all others, <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/B7EtneRFWsGLKiCz2\">apply today<\/a>!<\/p>\n<h2>Judging Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Winners will be selected by our panel of judges. Winners will receive a framed certificate, bottle of wine, and a public listing on the IRSG Awards site.<\/p>\n<h2>Apply<\/h2>\n<p>We\u2019ve designed the <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/forms\/B7EtneRFWsGLKiCz2\">application process<\/a> to be simple to complete.
