Karen Spärck Jones (KSJ) Award Presentation at ECIR 2022

On Wednesday 14 April Professor Jochen L. Leidner gave the prestigious KSJ award for talented early career researchers in Information Retrieval (IR) or Natural Language Processing (NLP) to Dr Ivan Vulić at ECIR 2022.

Dr Ivan Vulić is a Senior Research Associate in the Language Technology Lab, University of Cambridge and a Senior Scientist at PolyAI, who give a keynote speech at ECIR 2022 on “Towards Language Technology for a Truly Multilingual World?” (https://ecir2022.org/keynote-talks/).

The Karen Spärck Jones (KSJ) Award is established by BCS and BCS Information Retrieval Special Group (IRSG) in order to honour Karen’s achievements. The award is sponsored by Microsoft Research Cambridge. The call for 2022 KSJ award nomination is opening in May 2022.
